Grinders are one of the oldest and most primitive tools available in our kitchen. Traditionally, these grinders were used for grinding spices and other food stuffs. Now these companies are re-adapting their grinder products in order to cater specifically for the ever growing cannabis grinder market in an attempt to establish themselves as one of the best grinders for marijuana. After the relaxation of some of the various cannabis laws within the USA, many medicinal cannabis users needed to purchase all the necessary paraphe alia in order to begin using medicinal cannabis. Possibly the most important piece of equipment to buy is the grinder. The grinder will cut the cannabis up into tiny fragments which will make the cannabis burn more easily, while releasing the THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol). THC is the active ingredient in the cannabis that produces the effects that many people require. Prior to the “Green Rush”, only a few weed grinders were available for sale. But now, a simple look at the Amazon marketplace will show you that there are over 30 grinders available from different brands, each trying to persuade potential customers of the distinguishing features of their grinder compared to that of the competition. This has led to an exponential increase in the features that grinders provide to customers. As an example, the Golden Gate Grinder is manufactured using a CNC machine which means that each grinder produced is the exact same as the grinder made before it. It also contains diamond like teeth (around 80) which are made of anodized aluminium which cut through the cannabis rather than tear and rip it leading to a consistent grind and a more even burn. This increase in standard of cannabis grinders shows that customers require high quality products and these companies are responding to their need by producing excellent products. Each grinder company has been trying to stress to customers that they should avoid cheaper plastic grinders. This message seems to be getting through as very few people are now buying weed grinders made of plastic. The reason for this is that tiny fragments of plastic in the teeth of the grinder will become contaminated with the cannabis, and you could end up smoking the plastic, which is carcinogenic (can cause cancer). As the popularity of cannabis use increases, the competition for sales will only intensify leading to ever reducing prices, which can only be a good thing. The weed grinder space is certainly one niche to keep an eye on.
