Of late, this therapeutic technique has gained much prominence and confidence. It is believed that inner faculties and hidden healing power of the body can be utilized much the way exte al sources are used. It is used to reach out to that level of subconscious mind where the secrets of maintaining or restoring health are stored. For example, a patient can visualize his or her problem and move further to imagine what it needs to heal. In this entire process, interaction plays an integral role. You need to interact with the mental pictures with the help of the practitioner. Your both left and right areas of the brain are put to use. When you reach the deeper level, the process of assimilating details begins. These details are further used to correct the problem. There is no doubt that guided imagery is an effective method. Prevalent since three decades, this technique is evolving at every stage. Studies have also shown that how our mental faculties can affect us physically, leading to increased heart rates or heavy breathing. Not only this, it can also influence digestive as well as immune system. In order to help patients get rid of their diseases, more and more doctors are relying on guided imagery technique. They believe that a positive mind and positive thinking can almost solve half of the problem. You can apply this technique to lower down your stress and tension.
