Let me explain.rnThere's no guarantee that you'll always excel at every single thing you do from the first time you try. If anything, chances are you'll fail a few times and hit a few bumps before you actually make it. But people are afraid that failing can have haunting results.rnThey see failure as the end of the road and 9 times out of 10, they give up after a backslide, due to an exaggerated feeling of defeat. The truth, however, is quite different.rnWhen you fail, you're actually learning from your mistakes and gain a deeper understanding of how you can go about the same thing next time.rnThere is no person that can teach you or tutor you better than failure itself, no matter what previous experience that person may have on your related problem. --- Second, be authentic. Not only to others but to yourself as well. You see, most people confront social norms at the cost of not being honest with themselves and others. They do things out of obligation, because they want to be viewed in a certain way, or because they simply feel that this is the only way it can be done. But that's not true; it's not authentic.rnIf you don't want to hang out with someone, then don't spend time around them. If you don't like what you're doing for a living, then quit; don't do it cause 'it's the only way' or you have to 'pay the bills'. In life, there are so many ways to accomplish your goals that your options are close to limitless.rnSo don't get stuck in that 'it's the only way' mentality. --- Next, you can make it a habit to invest in you. Not money - or at least not just money but time and effort to improve and hone your skills as well. Go to seminars, find time to read books, learn a new craft. Educate yourself in any way you can. After all, self-education is the most valuable education if you want to make money and live happily.rnDo all those things that everyone finds noble but nobody wants the trouble of doing. --- Another uncommon habit is generating positive emotions. Think of the last time you felt really nice. Now answer this: Did you feel nice because you wanted to, or did something else happen that spawned your reaction?rnMost people rely on circumstances in order to experience positive emotions. But you can be positive any time you want to, simply by bringing back to mind a happy memory.rnYou don't have to expect things to go your way in order to be happy and satisfied. --- Last uncommon habit is, be aggressive. Don't spend too much time thinking about how cold you'll get if you jump into freezing waters. Just take the leap and embrace whatever comes with it. Who knows what you'll find at the bottom? Being too timid and giving up too easily will get you nowhere. That's guaranteed.rnGive yourself a chance to succeed. You'll be surprised by what you can do if you only dare to try!
