I want to begin this article by stating that I myself am on the fast track to baldness. In my case I have come to accept the fact that I am going bald, and have embraced it by going for the shaven headed look for several years now.
For me it's not really a major problem. However for many men it is of course a real concern, and I have noticed that a lot of these people will spend lots of time looking for anti-baldness treatments.
At the moment it seems as if hair growth supplements are really popular with many bald and receding men because Har Vokse, for example, recently sold 50,000 in its first week after going on sale in the UK for the first time.
So why are these hair growth vitamin supplements so popular right now?
Well I have spend some time visiting some of the hair loss forums and communities, and it would appear that some of these products not only help to prevent any further hair loss, but also help to stimulate new hair growth as well.
I think we have all heard about products such as Rogaine and Propecia because they are heavily advertised on TV. However whilst they do work for some people, users may also experience certain side effects when using these treatments.
When you take hair growth supplements, however, there are generally no side effects at all because they are essentially supplements that contain a large number of healthy vitamins. There are generally no added ingredients that may cause any problems.
This is one reason why these supplements are really popular right now. Another reason is simply because the only other alte
ative (apart from wearing a wig) is to undergo hair transplant surgery, like Wayne Rooney for example.
As you probably know, this can cost thousands and thousands (Rooney's hair transplant reportedly cost £30,000), and in this economic climate people simply cannot afford this treatment, particularly when there are no guarantees that it will actually work. They would much rather spend a tiny fraction of this cost on hair growth vitamins that could give them similar results.
So to sum up, I think there are two reasons why these supplements are really growing in popularity right now. The first reason is because many of them have proved effective both in clinical studies and in real life case studies, and the second reason is because they are substantially cheaper than some of the hair transplant procedures that are available.
