Some women lose their hair due to hormonal imbalances (especially during pregnancy and after birth), due to stress or an undiagnosed illness. Some women are born with a genetic predisposition for hair loss associated with age. Other causes are associated with improper thyroid functioning, vitamin deficiency and diabetes.
