A hair transplant is the type of surgery in which baldness is filled with your healthy hair. Men and women are prone to depression having a higher incidence of balding than non-bald individuals. In this matter, a hair restoration helps you to feel more positive about your looks. Before having these kinds of procedures, you should discuss with your doctor about expectations during or after the surgery. rnBasically, it is a surgical technique that removes the hair follicles from one part of the body and places it at the baldness area of the head. The part of the body from where hair follicles are removing is called the ‘donor site’. And the baldness area of the head is called the ‘recipient site’. Surgery mainly used to treat male pattern baldness. It can also be used to restore eyelashes, eyebrows, beard, beard hair, chest hair, pubic hairs, etc. Other than that, it is also very helpful to fill in scars caused by accidents or surgeries. These types of transplants were firstly started in the U.S in the 1950s. After that, a lot of modifications have been done in recent years. Hair transplant cost ranges from 70,000-130,000. It totally depends on various factors, such as the number of grafts.rnThere are two types of hair transplant. One is Follicular unit transplant and the other is follicular unit extraction. Follicular unit transplant is also known as strips surgery. In this type of surgery, a stripe of hair-bearing skin is removing from the back of the head and place at the bald area of the head. After that, the stripes are further divided into individual follicle unit grafts. These units consist of one to four hairs. These grafts are placed in the chilled tissue storage solution until they are transplanted. After that, the donor area is stitched and usually covered by the surrounding hair. After a couple of days, these stitches are removed and the donor area heels to form a scar. This procedure results are much better than the results of follicular unit extraction. rnThe second surgical technique which helps to fill the baldness is follicular unit extraction. This is a minimally invasive procedure that involves small circular procedures (1.0mm). These punches help to remove the individual follicular units from the back of the scalp and then re-implant these follicles to the baldness area of the scalp. This type is used especially for the treatment of androgen tic alopecia. This condition results in balding of the crown, frontal hairline, and temple points.rnAfter the surgery, your scalp becomes tender. You may need pain relievers for a couple of days. Also, your surgeon will advise you to wear a bandage over your scalp for a few days. He can also prescribe antibiotics or anti-inflammatory drugs for several days. Most people return to a normal routine within a week. Moreover, every surgery or transplant does have some side effects on the people. For example, bleeding or infection, etc. Also, there is a chance of having scars or artificial-looking hair growth. Other than that, it is also possible to suddenly lose some of the original hairs in that area where you got new strands. Before having these surgeries done, it is very important to discuss it in detail with your doctor. So, that he or she can advise the best thing for you in a hair transplant. rnThere are many qualified and best hair transplant surgeons in Pakistan but most people prefer to get it done from an experienced doctor.
