It’s now 2012 and though we were previously advised by our voted for government that there would be no such thing as a double dip recession, well hello double dip recession it’s currently knocking on the door and waiting to come in, or should I say it’s already here just taking it’s coat off. Over the past five years we’ve all been affected in some way shape or form by the global economic effects. No laughing matter as many people have been left homeless and now living in poverty. Many people and families have had to re-evaluate their life styles and make cut back where possible. It has become evident that things we previously took for granted are now becoming further and further away from reach. Shopping budgets for food and daily things such as bread and milk have seen prices raise so far that now that this has been left questionable. The hardest hit families also have to miss out on meals in the day as they simply can’t afford to eat. For those more fortunate who are used to basking in the Mediterranean sun or take trips to Australia and other places of interest with families are now having to reconsider their holiday destinations. Given the rate of inflation seen here in the UK we can only image what prices would be like abroad. If we can barely get by here what’s the point of going overseas and missing out on every meal for the sake of visiting another country if not continent? Although it is a big wide world out there and we all want to see as much of it as we can before our demise, just take a step back and ask yourself if you actually know the country you live in? Many travel companies such as trains and busses are doing their best to assist the general public by offering travel card at discounted rates etc, something we could use as an adventure. To get the little ones involved too, get a great big map of the UK of circle the places you would all like to visit. Pack a packed lunch or picnic and head off to the hills. If it gets too late to get back home there are plenty of Hotels North Wales , if visiting this area where you can stay and head back in the morning. Wales in general and even the Lake District are areas of pure natural beauty not to mention Scotland and Ireland. All within our reach and within our budget. For those with families, it can even be trips of educational adventure. There are so many museums and galleries that are free to enter and learn. If on a tight budget then always prepare a lunch prior to setting off with plenty of nibbles. This task in itself can save a lot of money. So when wanting a holiday on budget just open your front door, Great Britain has so much to offer, if there was ever a time to get to know what your country has to offer then now is the time.

Love is often described as a journey, but it is rarely a solo trek. It is a partnership defined by shared experiences, mutual growth, and the delicate art of balance.
