"Your outer world is a reflection of your inner world."
You have heard this before. It makes sense. Yet, do we really understand the magnitude of its truth? The very idea that your beliefs thoughts, and feelings (your inner world) directly influences your outer world experiences, especially if your experiences haven’t necessarily been good, can be a little disconcerting.
In a lot of ways, it’s not your fault that your outer world is not necessarily up-to-par. This doesn’t mean you cannot or should not take responsibility for who you are, what you have and continue to do, or what you are currently creating in your life. What I’m saying is that as women, we have indirectly been conditioned to focus so much on the outer world (taking care of our families, paying the bills, doing the laundry, taking the dog to the vet – the list is endless) that taking time to really connect to and process our inner world is challenging let alone trying to find the time to do so is frustrating to say the least. Yet, in order to experience the change we want, or to reach our highest level of potential, we must find the time to heal and honor our inner self.
Today, I’m not going to give you five steps to connecting to your inner self. Instead, I’m going to ask you why? Why haven’t you taken the time to connect to your inner self? Now, there’s a good chance that when you read the question you went over your list of why nots in your head, which tells me that you may not have read the question correctly. If I had asked “what is preventing you from connecting to your inner self?” then your list would have been correct but, why is a deeper question that requires a deeper inner reflection.
Is your why, “I am afraid of what might come up” or, “I’m too tired to try to figure things out” or, “I’m not sure what to do” because statements such as these can cause some level of resistance to come forth. However, remember that what you resist persists. If these statements sound familiar then I want you to know, you are not alone. Many women struggle with allowing themselves time to connect to their inner self due to internal and exte
al circumstances and challenges which only makes avoiding this necessary step even more crucial to experiencing more wealth, abundance as well as having the ability to step into your next level of outrageous success.
So today, I invite you to do yourself a favor and just ponder on the question of why you’re not taking time to connect to your inner self. When you do so, do it without judgment or criticism, just notice. Noticing (allowing everything to be as they are) may be the only thing you need to do to begin the deep healing process of your inner self as you allow grace, compassion and hopefully unconditional self-love to guide you to your inner spiritual truths that begin to set you free.
