Even though the HCG diet has been around for decades now, a lot of people are just starting to discover it. More and more people are starting to get curious of this weight loss program. What is this HCG diet? What does it do and how do you do it? First, we need to define what HCG is and what it does to our body. HCG stands for human chorionic gonadotropin. This human chorionic gonadotropin is a hormone that is present in both men and women. The hormone levels of HCG in women increases when they get pregnant. What does this hormone do and where is it produced? This hormone is produced by our pituitary gland. As observed in the pregnancy of women, these hormones help in the production of progesterone. Progesterone enhances the uterus in order to sustain the growth of the fetus. When the hormone is taken by individuals who are not pregnant, the effect is weight loss. The effect of this hormone was discovered by Dr. Simeons during the 1950’s. He found out that the HCG hormone helps in the development of the fetus. He found out that the HCG hormone programs the hypothalamus to help in consuming excess fat stores. Later on, he studied more about this effect and created his own HCG diet program. The HCG diet program is very simple. All the individual needs to do is consume the hormone and couple it with a 500 calorie diet per day. You might think that the calorie diet is difficult to follow. At first, it might be hard to do but as you continue with the diet program, you will slowly get used to it. If you aren’t sure how to do the 500 calorie diet, you don’t have to worry. There are a lot of HCG diet cookbooks and recipes that are available for HCG dieters. These cookbooks are designed for those dieters who don’t have an idea on how to go with the 500 calorie diet. One way of taking the hormone is by HCG diet drops. The HCG diet drops are easy to consume. All you need to do is use the dropper and take a few drops of the hormone. It is that simple. Another method would be through the use of injections. As you can see, injecting yourself is difficult to do. You have to be in a stable spot so that you won’t hurt yourself with the needle. Before you start using the product, make sure that you have read and understood what it is. Do not just go out and directly buy HCG products without having enough knowledge on it. To get information from it, you can search on the internet on what HCG is and how it can help you lose weight. Consulting your doctor is also a good way to learn more about it. Ask them whether it is safe based on your current health status. They could also give you advice on the effects and the side effects of this product. Asking for details is never wrong especially if your health is involved.
