Location - very western Slovakia near the border with Austria and the Vienna city. Weather - Bratislava continental climate with four different seasons. It is often windy with hot summers and cold, wet winters vary considerably. The city is one of the hottest and driest parts of Slovakia. Recently, the transition from winter to summer and summer to winter was fast, with a short autumn and spring term. Snow occurs less frequently than before. The level of English - speaking little English. Some speak German. Pricing - a relatively cheap, particularly in leather goods. Restaurants - Not bad, but not their strongest point. Restaurants are expensive and the drinks are pretty cheap. Courtesy - It is quite useful, but nothing overboard. Driving - little hectic, but usually polite. A good road system. Public transport - Overall, pretty good and cheap. Buses, trams and trolley buses on a regular basis and the town has good rail links to Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia and the rest Places of interest visited - One of the most famous structures in the city of Bratislava Castle with the Palace or Grassalkovich presidential palace. Most of historic buildings, which are many, mainly Old Town. Bratislava also has several beautiful parks and lakes. Notes - The city itself is quite an impressive sight at night and a lot of work to make it attractive. I recommend Jurka, Dom hotel cheap and clean accommodation. In addition, the arrival airport cafeteria filled baguettes are very good. Taxi is one of the best organized in advance through the airport DA.SK as they tend to charge a fortune. There are also many small taxi cards in hotels, so pick one and get one or call the hotel to order one for you. The street may be too much. Are you particularly fond of medieval stories?
