Undoubtedly health is one of the leading factors that can promote or suppress absenteeism among employees. The most common cause of illness found among the corporate workers is the stress. Therefore, most of the corporate wellness programs are more or less oriented towards management of stress.
It is not only the root cause of a number of diseases but stress also lowers a person's immune response making it more susceptible to fall ill frequently. Therefore, it not only affects worker's health but also affects productivity of the company. It is very common to see workers resist coming to work if it has lots of stress. This not only costs many hours of productivity but also causes illness among a major proportion of population.
Looking into the matter, corporate professionals have started to emphasized on various wellness programs. Trend has become more popular in recent years and it has also been seen that workers love to join in those companies that offer them some good healthcare programs.
It is believed that a workplace that supports corporate wellness programs not only helps their employees to handle work pressure and stay healthy during stressed hours but also wins the trust of their employees. Working at such a place gives employees an emotional support with a feeling that company cares about them.
There are several reasons associated with the stress at workplace. For instance, poor interpersonal relation with other staff, problems with communication and difficulty in meeting the set target and so on. All of these problems need to be addressed for a high productive and positive environment inside any corporate office.
A corporate wellness program effectively handles all such problems and revolves around several other things thereby reducing stress associated with various areas. Such wellness programs include a number of things such as health promotion, nutrition and diet plans, fitness, recreation, heart health, alcohol and tobacco awareness and many more. Therefore, it would not be wrong to say that such programs bring humanity of companies to corporate forefront and give employees a feeling of being more than just a member.

Stress programs have evolved into a great success which not only helped to lower domestic aggression but also succeeded in creating more positive environment for employees.
