What is healthy eating?rnWhen people talk of healthy eating, many people thinks that its all about depriving yourself from eating the food you love the most. Other thinks that you can only be healthy if you are skinny. There are fat people who are healthy, more healthier than thin people. Being healthy is all about feeling great, having more energy and having physical and emotional fitness. Did you know that eating good diet makes you feel relaxed and excited?rnWater makes up about two thirds of our body weight. It is therefore important that we drink enough water or else our skin will be dry and some chemical reactions that takes place in our body will be greatly affected. Water is also very important as it helps blood to carry nutrients around the body.rnFruits are also very important in our diet. There are different kinds of fruits and each type of fruit add different value and nutrient in our bodies. It is essential to eat different fruits even if you will not have them everyday. Have a time table and make sure each week, you take seven different kinds of fruits. According to the research, fruits prevents a number of serious diseases such as cancer, heart failure, and blood pressure. Its important to know that fruits are free from cholesterol which is the major cause of most deadly diseases nowadays.rnWhen taking fruits, don't forget vegetables. Both are very important and they are packed full of goodness. They have different vitamins and minerals. Some fruits have fibre which is very important as it keeps bowel movements regular, helps the body remove remove waste and toxins, prevents constipation, and also prevents intestine illness know as divericulosis. Its also good to take fruits like melon which have seeds inside and its also a good source of fibre. When taking fruits, have them in different colors. Did you know that different coloured fruits contain different minerals? Red, orange and yellow colored fruits contains vitamins like A, C , and E and they are very important as the research have shown that they prevent certain types of cancers as they neutralize free radicals in the body.rnDark green fruits and vegetables are known to protect diseases such as macular degeneration and cataracts. If you have eye problems, its advisable that you take plenty of these kind of fruits or vegetables. Some fruits contains potassium, calcium, phosphorous, manganese and iron minerals. When picking fruits in a market, have a variety of them and you will always remain healthy.rnIt's not just what you eat, it's how you eat Being healthy is not a matter of just eating what is right and doing exercises as required;it is more than the food on your plate. There are people who don't practice healthy eating habits and they can help wondering what is wrong with their health.You may be thinking that how you eat is right but not after you read this.rnEnjoy your meal times_Most people are always in a hurry because they are always late. When its lunch or dinner time, take your time. Eat your food slowly and enjoy every bite you take.rnListen to your body_Don't just eat because other people are eating. Ask yourself if its food you want or just a glass of fresh juice.rnAlways take every meal and don't skip whatever the case_ Most people don't take their breakfasts for various reasons.That is the worst mistake they make.You should always start your breakfast with a great breakfast. A healthy breakfast jump start your metabolism and you will not need to eat a lot during the day. Make sure you have meals at their right time, don't take your breakfast at one or your supper when it is too late. It is an added advantage if your breakfast will have whole grain as studies have shown people who eat more whole grains tend to have a healthier heart.rnWhen eating, choose the right food for you and make sure the food is balanced.
