Regardless of what is causing you stress and anxiety; however, you must begin to pinpoint it and then work on eradicating it as much as possible. You may be able to gradually work it out of your life or you may find that you cannot eradicate it completely. In either case, you can change how you respond to whatever it causing you stress and anxiety. Over time, this can help you to reduce and even eliminate the amount of stress and anxiety you experience. nnWhen treating stress and anxiety, you must also begin to focus on making sure that you are healthy. It is almost impossible to treat stress and anxiety when you are not healthy. Stress and anxiety can take a tremendous toll on your health and well-being. When you are not taking care of yourself, it can become a vicious cycle. This is why it is imperative that you take conscious steps to live a healthy lifestyle. Make sure you are eating a healthy and well-balanced diet full 0f plenty of fruits and vegetables. Be certain to drink plenty of water each day. Avoid beverages that are caffeinated as well as alcoholic beverages as these types of drinks will likely only add to your stress and anxiety. In addition, avoid drugs and smoking. nnExercise is also important. While it is quite possible that the last thing you feel like doing when you are feeling down or even anxious is to go out and exercise, it is actually the best thing you can do. Exercise is good for your body and also releases natural chemicals that can help you to combat the effects of stress and anxiety. Make a strong effort to exercise at least 2-3 times per week. nnFinally, make sure you are getting an adequate amount of sleep. Make an effort to go bed at the same time each night and wake up at the same time each morning. Following these guidelines for treating stress and anxiety can help you to gradually overcome anxiety and stress symptoms. nn
