Heart attacks are a very common disease at present in the world. Various factors have caused this situation to develop into its present shape. The first one coming to the front row is our changing life style. Now we are highly dominated by machines. Gradually we are losing our physical efficiency to do even a very small task. We are afraid of physical exercise. Besides this there are food habits, hyper tension, obesity, insufficient sleep, complex mannerism of modern people. All are making us highly complicated. Now we shall discuss the causes of heart attack. Our body is composed of a lot of blood vessels- veins, arteries etc. Some of them carry oxygenated blood from the heart to other organs of the body. The rest carry blood full of carbon-dioxide. We all know that this is a cyclic process which is active from birth till death without any pause. We eat different types of food. They add different substances to the blood. In the process some fatty elements called plagues are deposited inside the arteries. They try to block the flow of blood to and from the heart. The blood cannot flow smoothly. They pass through a narrow space causing high blood pressure inside the arteries. If the deposition of plagues increases to an alarming level people become prey to heart attacks or strokes. There are various factors contributing to this mishap. The rise of cholesterol in blood is one of the principal factors. People consume food containing a high quantity of saturated fatty acids. This leads to the rise of cholesterol in blood. Other factors are alcoholism, smoking habits, lack of exercise, sleeplessness etc. At present people are being exposed to many factors harmful to health. Sitting before the television for long hours and spending a lot of time before the internet are some of them. Even children have a lack of physical exercise at present because of various electronic devices available to them. The heart disease and the cardiovascular disease are synonymous. The cardiovascular diseases cover some distinct symptoms. The main cardiovascular conditions that can cause early death are discussed here. The first one is Atherosclerosis when arteries clog up. In this condition arteries are blocked ultimately. The next one is Aneurysms. In this situation the blood vessels become too weak to carry blood. Another factor is Arrhythmias when heart beats become irregular, either extremely fast or slow. There has been a positive growth in the technology of heart failure treatment. Heart failure occurs when certain health conditions weaken. Treatment is aimed at improving the symptoms and restoring a weak heart back to action as smoothly as possible. The treatment consists of a series of medications, surgeries, medical devices and lifestyle changes. The surgery options are Heart valve repair or replacement, Coronary bypass surgery, Heart transplant surgery, Myectomy.
