Held In Divine Arms

Have you ever felt a loving presence that placed you in a deep state of peace? Have you ever experienced the sensation of being picked up and carried when times go tough? Have you ever felt a love that you knew was far beyond anything in this physical world?

I can recall a few times that I have experienced this sensation in my life; and when I am in it, all things seem to meld into a singular space. There is no separation, or self-identity, as a matter of fact there is very little but a sensation of great peacefulness and very deep unconditional love. When I have been in this space, there is no judgment or even a specific emotion; just an incredible expansiveness of total acceptance, appreciation, and compassion.

For me there is no question that when I experienced this, I was truly being embraced by the Divine. It is amazing, though, how many times we end up going through challenges in life; or wait until we are feeling deeply troubled, stressed, worried, scared, or any other numerous feelings before we allow ourselves to accept this experience. It is no exception for me; as I too often have waited until a “dark night of the soul” period before opening to this wonderful sensation.

I suppose this could be likened to receiving a piece of enlightenment and then forgetting the information you were given; or like walking into a room and forgetting what you were going into there for. As we go through this life there are so many things on this Earth that tend to distract us from experiencing the Divine. We forget, this immense and wonderful space that we come from and are. We get wrapped up in all of the distractions that are part of this illusion; and then wonder where our peace and joy are. For any of numerous reasons, we have a tendency to not maintain this incredible space of bliss.

My experience is that when I allow myself to be in the embrace of the Divine; that it is like being drunk. The joy overpowers anything that weighs me down; and overflows from me. Everything seems to become a blessing and joy; even the challenges, because there is a sensation of knowing that I am not alone in what challenges me.

Like many, it took some pretty harsh circumstances for me to “remember” my Divine connection; and how wonderful it is to be in Divine unity. Now, I consciously choose to connect in that embrace many times throughout the day. No matter what is happening, I choose to experience it through the Divine embrace. So when times are tough, I feel those loving arms wrapped around me; and when times are great, I also choose to feel those loving arms wrapped around me.

Michelle Mayur is one person, that recognized that there are some amazing stories and experiences that have brought people, particularly women, to remember and receive the Divine embrace. She realized that these experiences were important to share; so that others could find hope and inspiration in their “darker” points in life, and thus allow themselves to open to their angels and the Divine to help them remember their true essence and that there is so much more to being in this world, than just being in this world.

It wasn’t that long ago that I received a message that said “connect with me daily, and never forget me”. Now, while this was related very specifically to someone that I was very strongly connected to here on Earth; it also applies to the greater “me” and the greater “we”. It is important that we connect daily in this Divine embrace all throughout the day; and that we never forget “me” which is the Divine, you, and me - our true loving Divine Self.
