No one really likes to conduct research. Well, that is not entirely true. Researchers and scientist probably like to conduct research or else they would not have selected those fields as careers. But let’s talk about you and I. Either we don't like researching our article topics or we just don't have the time to do so. But the reality is, you are going to have to identify some pretty creative and stimulating methods to generate ideas to help you write interesting articles. Here are just a few simple ways you can get the creative juices flowing from your head to your pen and pad. Conduct A Brainstorming Session: rnBrainstorming sessions can be a real eye opener and even be fun if you decide to brainstorm with another person. Having a brainstorming session can help you generate several articles on one topic. Remember when you were in school and how you were taught, by your English teacher, to 'brainstorm' topics for your book reports and papers? Well for now, lets take a different approach. Try reaching out to family members, friends, business partners, your online business sponsor, other internet marketers and other individuals to help you brainstorm ideas. Talk to them about their various experiences, passions, pain-points, etc. to help get the creative juices flowing. Research: I am talking about fun research such as surveys, forums, or even webinars. Select a topic that you may be having a problem writing about then create a short 10 question survey or create a poll to submit to some of the members of your online business. It could be members of your downline, people you are directly sponsoring, or even your sponsor. Make sure your survey includes open-ended questions, as this is where you are going to get the real "gems" and substance for your article. Forums are also a great outlet to use to conduct research for your article. Become a fly on the wall and join a forum. You may not even have to participate in the forum. You could just read members posts and replies and get some great content from those conversations. To take it a step further, you could start a thread asking a question (maybe a question from your survey or your poll) and create an a couple of articles from the responses you receive. Who knows, the conversations you generate may provide you with enough content to create a series of articles. Watch The Tube: Yes...I know we have been told that the television rots the brain, but you can use television and movies to help you create new ideas for some quality content and very interesting articles. When you decide to use articles to market anything, you always want to make sure that you have interesting and quality content to provide your target audience. Television can be a resourceful avenue to help you create headlines, titles, opening and closing paragraphs of your article. Look at some commercials or infomercial channels to get the creativity flowing through your pen. Also, television can be educational too. There is the history, do-it-yourself, animal, and shopping channels. Let's say you are writing an article to market or educate your audience about weight loss and weight loss supplements. You could turn on the television and watch the channel that specializes in health and fitness to get some notes or ideas that you may want to include in your article. Or say for instance you were promoting a spray that repelled snakes. Then you could turn to the Discovery or Animal channel and check out what "snake" related shows are on and "presto," you are now conducting research. As you can see, I could go on and on about ways to help you chop down that writer's block and get the ideas flowing through your bones to your pad. So stay tuned for more, because I don't think I am done with this topic yet.
