Help To Feel Happy

Happiness is a state of being. You are happy or you are not happy. The question is what can you do so as to place yourself in a position whereby you are more likely to be happy than otherwise.
Happiness is in fact a feeling that you are totally in control of, so long as you appreciate this fact. Your own thoughts, what you choose to focus upon and how you choose to focus all dictate your emotional experiences. It doesn't matter what happens to you in life, it is how you choose to respond to it that makes the difference.
Research has shown that even a simple choice to smile will in fact lift your spirits and feel brighter and hence happier. This holds true even if the smile is brought about artificially by means of being asked to place a pencil horizontally between your teeth and hold it there! Even though the resulting smile might appear to be more a grimace, those who were asked to do this displayed a more positive frame of mind.
Thus we can all encourage in ourselves a better likelihood of happiness by the simple act of paying a little more attention to our posture and expressions. Standing up straight, un-rounding our shoulders, looking up instead of down, smiling instead of frowning are all easy ways in which we can lighten our mental attitudes and feel more positive and happier.
The majority of people are more willing to make physical changes than to tackle the deeper processes at work within their minds. This is a great shame as the easiest way in which to make the greatest changes in terms of happiness are in fact derived from looking within as opposed to without.
There are two main areas to the mind that could be addressed so long as you are willing to do so. Your conscious mind is the more critical day-to-day working part of your mind. Your subconscious is the part that acts automatically and instinctively.
Your subconscious perceives situations and searches for a pattern match and then comes to conclusions based upon past knowledge and experience. It does this in the blink of an eye. You won't even be aware of it doing what it's doing. It just does it and you respond in the manner that it dictates.
Thus if unhappiness or a negative attitude seem to be a habitual response or reaction, then your subconscious is the place to go to effect changes for the better. Hypnosis provides a method of accessing this powerful inner part of your mind. Hypnosis is natural and easy to use, simply by listening to a hypnosis mp3 download.
With hypnosis you can access your subconscious mind and make suggestions to change unwanted or outdated patterns of response and behavior. You can pave the way to respond in a happier manner in future.
From a conscious mind perspective, it pays to be aware of the way in which you choose to focus. There are almost always different perspectives available and to choose to reach for the brightest and happiest is something to aim for. The focus of your thoughts trigger your emotions and dictate your reality, be it happy or otherwise. This is why I say you are in fact totally in control of your own happiness, irrespective of the physical reality of your surroundings and circumstances.
