Almost instantly, you can feel that part of your skin becoming warm. This is an indication that toxins are being drawn out of your skin. Continue adding this mixture to your bite or sting until the swelling and pain subsides.
3. Tobacco may be a very controversial herb; however, no one can deny that it has plenty of medicinal properties. Loose tobacco leaves can also be used as a herbal remedy to treat insect bites. What you need to do is to combine water or apple cider vinegar with a small amount of tobacco leaves. This will then become a paste that you can apply to the affected skin area. Leave this paste on your skin until the swelling has subsided. However, should skin irritation develop, wash off this paste with lukewarm water immediately.
