Whether you like hanging out in bars or not, there's no question that they're one of the best places to pick up girls. Of course, meeting women begins with knowing how to make a confident approach and "open" her in a clever way. Keep in mind that hot girls get approached by men constantly at bars, so you've got to make an original approach that distinguishes you from all the others. So right now, let me share with you some general tips to help you pick up women in bars, clubs and other nightlife environments: 1. Before leaving your house, you need to make sure that you look great. You certainly don't need to be tall and well-built to attract women, but you absolutely must be clean, well-dressed and most importantly well-groomed. One of the "Ten Mack Commandments" in the Mack Tactics book says that "The First 60 Seconds Are Everything," and this means your appearance must be on point -- because the girl you approach will immediately evaluate it. Wear nice clothes, brush your teeth, comb your hair, etc. Make sure that you wear good cologne and not the cheap kind if you want to pick up girls at bars. 2. You need to act confident if you want to be noticed. If you are naturally a shy, nervous guy, you'll need to fake this confidence until you start achieving some success (which is how you develop REAL confidence with women). Body language is extremely important; don't slouch, and keep your head held high. Make eye contact with women. Don't only try to interact with the hot girls you want to hook up with; start friendly interactions with other women as you "warm up" and get a feel for the crowd. A lot of other guys in the bar will probably be nervous too, although some are better than hiding it than others. Even if you're faking a good deal of your confidence at this point, you've going to have more success picking up girls than the guys who can't get a handle on their nervousness. 3. Picking up girls at bars means you might have to approach them. If you're a good-looking guy you may occasionally GET approached by women, but in most cases it's up to you to make the first move. Don't only try to target women who are alone; usually, women go out in groups, and approaching groups of women is not big deal when you've got some solid techniques. If she's alone, go up to her, smile, and use one of the openers I explain the "Mack Tactics" book. If she doesn't seem interested, don't bug her. Don't worry about being turned down. This is an important attitude to take when you're out to pick up girls at bars. If you want to approach a group of girls, treat them all nicely. Even if there's only one you're interested in, you should still be nice to her friends. 4. Next, when you approach a girl and start a conversation your tone of voice -- and the topics you discuss -- should be positive. She should associate you with FUN and POSITIVITY, not negativity or boring/depressing topics (such as talking to her about your exes, breakups, etc. She didn't spend all that time tonight perfecting her hair and makeup, and trying on five different outfits, so that she could come out tonight and talk about boring, depressing stuff. She's here to have fun! You simply need to be the guy who provides FUN in order to make her want to be with you. 5. Never be loud, aggressive or hostile towards other guys when you're out to pick up girls. It's cool to enjoy yourself and be energetic, but you don't want to be that annoying guy who gets on everybody's nerves. Don't drink anymore alcohol than you can handle. But when it comes to picking up girls in bars, you shouldn't let yourself become too drunk. 6. Pay careful attention to the people around you, and the social interactions of others. Listen to what girls say in bars and pay attention to everything that they do. In order to pick up girls at bars, you should observe them for a few minutes before approaching them. If you can hear what she's talking about (with her friends, or with the guy who approached her), you may hear something that you can bring up during your own conversation with her. So, slow down your pace and don't worry about "making your move" the moment you see an attractive girl. Think like a chess-player and always have your next several moves plotted out in your mind.
