Heuresis--Receiving The Holy Spirit By Heuresis

The Heuresis is our persistent seeking of God. It means to seek Him persistently and consistently. It means to ask, seek, and knock until we receive a generous portion of the Holy Spirit for ourselves.
Contrary to what some teachers teach, not everyone automatically has the Holy Spirit. And there are gifts of the Holy Spirit today but not everyone has them. In fact, too few people have them.
Most "gifts" people have are worldly gifts. They are learned in schools and in culture and subcultures. They are even taught by Christian leaders as worldly teachings instead of what God is saying.
And contrary to what some teacher teach today, it is yet possible to receive the Holy Spirit. Not everyone has received Him. And yet it is possible for anyone in the world today who seeks God persistently enough.
Many people have tasted of God and have seen how good it is. Many people have tasted of the Holy Spirit and have devised ways to get another taste. This is often done by swearing oaths, sometimes swearing by a person with the Holy Spirit.
This happens because God does not share the Holy Spirit with everyone equally. It is not unjust that it is unequal. Not everyone deserves God and not everyone is able to receive God. It is simply the reality in the world.
And it will always be the reality. So some people have the Holy Spirit with abundance and some people are lacking. This is how it will always be. The world will not change enough to change this. But you can change.
When you are sealed you are supposed to receive the Holy Spirit. But this is not automatic. Do not be deceived by teachers who tell you that you are automatically sealed with the Holy Spirit by some ritual or repetition of a phrase.
You may not receive the Holy Spirit. You may have been sealed and yet you are waiting. You do not want to wait forever. You want to receive God now and enjoy the comfort and pleasures, the joy He brings you.
Jesus told a parable about it. A man goes to his friend at midnight. He has had a guest come from a long distance and he has no bread to give him to eat. He wants his friend to lend him some bread to share.
But his friend inside says no! The hour is not convenient. It is too late and he is already in bed. He will not be bothered. He will not give his friend any bread even though the two are friends.
This is how God treats you. You often want something from God at an inconvenient time. You do not know God's timing and you do not know all of His plans. You do not know how to synchronize with Him.
But when the fellow knocked on his friend's door more and more, the friend decided to get up and give him some bread. And this is how God will respond to you also when you persistently knock on his door. He will get up and answer.
And He will give you the Holy Spirit. That is what you are seeking. You seek the comforts and pleasures of the Holy Spirit in many other places like wealth and accomplishment. Those can be noble but not nearly as fulfilling.
God may consider you a friend. But that does not mean that He will consider it the right time to give Himself to you. When Jesus died the Holy Spirit fell upon the apostles and disciples. And they gave Him to people by touching them.
You do not have someone to touch you today and thus share God with you. And you can not share God by touching anyone. But you can receive the Holy Spirit from God if you ask, seek, and knock persistently enough.
It is not enough to receive a taste of the Holy Spirit from the sealed person. You want to receive the Holy Spirit for yourself from God Himself. And you can receive Him if you seek Him persistently with the heuresis. nn
