Low carb diet, high in protein are fine, but to maintain high levels of fitness which is to consume carbohydrates of high quality. The absolute number one ingredient to a successful bodybuilding diet is protein and protein luckily for us is an abundance of food. Carbohydrate of high quality are a key ingredient for a successful bodybuilding diet because they contain high quality calories that you will benefit more than slow you down.
Almost all meats are a good source of protein from pork, but is of lower quality so they tend to stay away from pork base. A good diet to follow is usually simpler then I follow a diet that gives me all the ingredients for a healthy diet, body building.
Breakfast: - Cereals and muesli and porridge protein shake is something that I have and if they do not cereals. Add skim milk instead of higher fat milk
23:00: - Pasta with meat and tomato sauce with a protein bar. Pasta is something that includes all day at the beginning of the week to prepare a large bowl of pasta filled with lean ground beef and a sauce base, this will keep for the whole week and all you need do is put a some in a bowl every day and microwave content.
Lunch - Pasta with meat again or a beef salad with a protein shake.
15:00: - Pasta again with a protein shake or protein bar
Dinner: - piece of steamed fish and salad
20:00: - Protein Shake or a protein bar can also be changed by a cereal such as muesli.
By no means have to eat this much food per day, but as you can see are my meals evenly throughout the day, which speeds up my metabolism and burn more calories than if I had 3 large meals a day.
