These kinds of quotes or short poems are often seen in the notice boards of the schools before the start of summer or winter holidays. In fact, children wait for the holidays all through the year. They plan many things for these holidays because this is the period of the year when they can spare some time from their academics can enjoy it. The role of the parents becomes much active at that point of time because this period can be used for the children to make them do something very productive.

Many are parents are found to be overloading the children with the burden of home assignments that are related to academics, at that period. This should be a complete NO-NO. Like we need a break completing a hectic schedule of work, kids also need the same. Since their age is very less, thus a little much of work also makes them feel tired, and if they do not get any break then, it makes their mind stuck. Therefore, parents should make some exciting plan to make the holidays of their kids a memorable and productive one. There are few tips which parents should follow to experience the holiday in a colorful manner:

• First and the foremost thing is you should not encourage their kids to watch Television for long hours during the vacation period
• If there is a small garden at your home, ask them to spare some time to contribute in the kitchen garden. It makes them aware of the ideas of planting saplings and also help them to interact with the nature
• If your children like painting, encourage them to make some of them and also teach them different styles to make them
• Ask your children to get involved little with the household chores. It also helps them to exercise as well as to learn some of the household work
• Buy them some good numbers of books and ask them to finish them by the end of the vacation period. It helps them to polish their level of patience, concentration, vocabulary and to gather a lot of knowledge
• If your kids do not know cycling or skating, teach them. School vacation is the right period to teach this kind of activities to the kids
• Last but not the least, one of the best ways to enjoy and at the same time to learn something in the vacation is take your kids to a distant place where the culture is different. It helps to be familiar with different cultures and they can also enjoy the sites of the new place that they have never been before.

All these ideas can make your kid’s vacation an unforgettable one as well as they can collect a lot of knowledge.
