You have to understand that a home based business is just like any other job or task--- you have to put in regular hours.

This does not necessarily mean you have to put in your 9 to 5, far from it. But you have to set aside a fixed amount of time everyday for your home based business to have any chance of it being a success.

TIP NO. 2- ESTABLISH GOALS FOR YOUR BUSINESSES’ GROWTH

Set goals that are realistic, time bound, specific and measurable.

When I was just starting I set daily and weekly goals.

These then translated and supported my monthly goals to my yearly goals.

This really helped me and will help you keep on track and committed.

3 DISCOURAGEMENT IS NOT AN ISSUE-

Any and all businesses and especially home based businesses have its highs and lows. Frustration may discourage you and make you feel despondent. But this is all part of realizing success

Instead of contemplating quitting like many people do, let this be your inspiration to smash through the challenges and obstacles you will inevitably confront.

I use my negative experiences and the lessons that I learned from them to fuel my desire for success even further.

Work harder, do more marketing—write more articles and blogs.

I have not yet met any successful person or any successful home based businesses that never had any setbacks or obstacles to overcome.

TIP NO. 4- YOUR FIRST SIX MONTHS ARE CRITICAL

Just like the phenomenal take-off and launch of a space shuttle, your business will require most of your efforts in the first six months.

Most seasoned veterans in any serious home based businesses have stated that the first 180 days will present the most trials and challenges.

You simply need to build momentum from this crucial jump off point.

Your commitment is needed in the first 180 days and you have to persevere!

Make committed goals, learn study and roll with the punches!

TIP NO. 5- CHOOSE THE BEST TYPE OF HOME BUSINESS MODEL THAT SUITS YOU

This is one of the most difficult challenges but this can be overcome with realistic planning and trial and error.

Research is important. You have to research which company or services you can best offer, and also which interests you and fills you with the most passion.

If you look at the opportunities out there today, home based information publishing businesses are coming more and more into prominence.

Millions of people every day search the internet for information on all sorts of topics, for example gardening, cooking, playing the guitar etc.

These people are hungry for this information and are more than willing to pay for it.

So why not start an internet home based business where you provide them this information and either get paid commissions as an affiliate or use your creative flair and develop your own information products and get to keep all the money yourself.

Establishing business from home can be great fun and very profitable once set up, but it will require time, commitment, a business mentality and just a little capital investment.
