The prostate is part of the male reproductive system and is located between the urethra and bladder. Several herbal remedies available that can be beneficial for healing of prostate cancer, but no actual medical evidence to support these claims. One herb in particular that has been tested many times and has shown positive results which are called saw palmetto. This herb grows in the southeastern United States and comes from the berries of the palm become mountains. Saw palmetto hinders the production of DHT, which is testosterone which is primarily responsible for the enlargement of the prostate gland. When estrogen and DHT in the body are reduced, the prostate gradually decrease in size and thus eliminate many health problems that may result from an enlarged prostate. Saw palmetto is also mainly suggested to relieve symptoms associated with benign prostates hypertrophy. Note, however, that saw palmetto is not recommended to cure prostate cancer. Chaparral, a healing herb powerful anti-viral and anti-bacterial, is another potential resource for treating prostate cancer. In addition, the chaparral has strong antioxidant properties, which makes this herb a powerful cancer fighter and blood purifier. As a caveat, some reports have indicated that this herb can cause irreversible liver failure. New popular herbs that can relieve some symptoms related to prostate cancer (urinary incontinence, for example) are nettle, pumpkin, rye grass, and Pigeon. Although these herbs are a common choice for many people, you should keep in mind that there is not enough scientific evidence now exists to support the efficacy of these herbs.
