All you need to do is take a cup filled half with milk. Add one fourth cup of honey with three tablespoons of extra virgin oil. Massage your scalp with this mixture and then wait for two hours. Wash your hair with a mild shampoo. 2. Apple cider vinegar is also one of the efficient home remedies for dry scalp. Mix equal parts of water and apple cider vinegar and then apply it to your scalp. Wait for fifteen to twenty minutes and later shampoo your hair. 3. Make it a daily habit of massaging your scalp for two minutes on daily basis. Use your finger tips to massage your scalp. This will improve blood circulation and will help in production of sebum by stimulating the follicles. 4. Yogurt is also very effective in treating this problem. All you have to do is take some yogurt and rub it on your hair and scalp. Wait for ten minutes and then wash with clean water. 5. Shea butter is known for its anti-inflammatory and moisturizing properties. Take a bowl of shea butter and heat it in a double boiler. Add one cup of olive oil and one teaspoon of vitamin E oil in it. Mix them well and wait for it to cool down a little bit. Apply this mixture on your hair and then wait for half an hour with your head covered in a warm towel. Use this home remedy two times in a week. 6. Aloe vera juice helps in moisturizing dry scalp. Just apply aloe vera juice on your scalp and allow it to stay there. But remember, only to purchase sugarless aloe vera juice from your local health food store. 7. Onion can also be used to treat dry scalp problem. All you have to do is take an onion and slice it. Now immerse the slices of this onion in rum and leave it there for the next seven to eight hours. The onion will partially get dissolved in it. You can now massage your scalp with this liquid. 8. Tea tree oil or eucalyptus oil can also help in eliminating this problem and itchy scalp. Just mix five drops of eucalyptus oil or twenty drops of tea tree oil in your regular shampoo and use it. The above mentioned home remedies for dry scalp are some of the most popular home remedies which are simple to practice and are safe to use without any side effects.
