Firstly, today prime cause for dryness of skin is considered to be the usage of hair products that contains harsh chemicals, for example colors and shampoos. Secondly, it is also found that deficiency of fatty acids can cause dryness of skin. Thirdly, dehydration badly affects the skin because it is the prime source for moisture, and dehydration decreases the efficiency of sebaceous glands. Others include caffeine, alcohol, and usage of hair products that contain alcohol as key ingredient. The home remedies for dry scalp will help to hydrate the skin, and it will also increase the portion of moisture in skin. In addition, few effective home remedies for dry scalp are mentioned ahead that may prove to be helpful.

1. Take 1 egg, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Thoroughly mix all the ingredients, and wash your scalp with this mixture. Thoroughly rinse your hair with lukewarm water.

2. Take egg white of 1 egg, and mix it with 5 teaspoons of yogurt. After shampooing apply this mixture on damp hair for 15 minutes. Thoroughly rinse your hair with water.

3. Mix equal amounts of tea tree oil, and olive oil and gently massage your scalp with this mixture before going to bed. In the morning, shampoo and condition as usual.

4. After you take a shower, apply pulp of an avocado on your hair for 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly afterwards.

The above mentioned home remedies for dry scalp are indeed very effective, and in some cases these remedies have worked miracles in solving the problem. But, you should avoid using harsh shampoos. In addition, keep yourself hydrated by drinking lots of water. Also, your diet should be full of essential nutrients. In conclusion, for a healthy scalp, little awareness is very important along with the home remedies for dry scalp.
