Take a cup filled half with water and then add few drops of rosemary oil in it. Drink this mixture followed by drinking valerian tea after gap of three to four hours. This is one of the most efficient home remedies for jetlag. 3. Consume foods rich in carbohydrate and protein during flights. Do not overeat while you are travelling by air. Since it can cause indigestion, acidity and vomiting. 4. Once you reach the destination try to adapt to local time zone. Taking a walk during daylight will prove to be very helpful in making our body clock adjust to local time zone. 5. After reaching your destination you can try taking Epsom salt baths to get relief from the symptoms of jetlag. All you have to do is fill bath tub with water and then add Epsom salt in it. Now soak your body in this water to get complete relaxation. 6. You can try consuming caffeine rich drinks such as tea or coffee to prevent sleepiness. 7. Drinking juices during flight will refresh your body and will help in keeping your body hydrated. This will later prove to be quite beneficial in minimizing the symptoms of jetlag. 8. Siberian ginseng can also prove to be very helpful in treating jetlag. It is known to increase stamina and stimulate immune system of the body. 9. After travelling by air you can use warm sesame oil to rub the soles of your feet followed by drinking milk with ginger and nutmeg. This is a very effective natural remedy and will give you relief from jetlag. 10. Taking dose of melatonin while you are travelling can be quite effective in treating jetlag. You can consume one half to three mg of melatonin. 11. Chamomile tea can also be used to cure jetlag. After reaching your destination you can drink a freshly prepared chamomile tea. This will soothe your nerves and will relax you. 12. Doing certain exercises or practicing yoga postures will refresh you and will help in reducing the symptoms of jetlag. 13. Wear comfortable clothes while you are travelling and try to stretch your legs. The above mentioned home remedies for jetlag are some of the most effective natural remedies. These home remedies are simple to use, cheap and safe to try.
