Home Security improved with Victure Camera

I am a person who travels a lot. My job is such that I have to go to different places all the time so I am not at home that much. I am a civil engineer and I live alone with my pet cats at home. So since I am not at home that much I arrange for their food and they know where to find it since they are trained. But when I am not in my house for extended periods of time I start to get worried about the safety, I am not paranoid but I sometimes assume that my house may have been burgled or ransacked. I know this seems a bit over the top but it's a healthy bit of paranoia. As it so happens one day when I came back from a long trip the whole house was a mess. Some neighborhood kids had vandalized my garden and stolen a few things. It was at this point that I decided to install a CCTV system in my house. I knew that I should have done it sooner but I just couldn't find the perfect type of camera. It's not just about the expense but also the ease of using it. A lot of cctv cameras just record the videos and to access them you need to physically check the computer screen in your house. This wasn't very feasible as I wanted to be able to check my camera at any time and from anywhere. This need led to me find the victure camera. An IP camera which could be connected to the Internet and seen from anywhere around the world. The victure camera setup was also unexpectedly easy, I had assumed that setup for cctv required a lot of technical expertise but I was wrong.

Setting up the Camera

The setup procedure is made easy due to the Intuitive nature of the process. To setup the camera first remove it from the box then download the app from either the playstore or the appstore and sign up for the account. Then enter the corresponding account details to login. After successfully logging in click on the add camera option, but before that fix your camera in the desired place by means of drilling. Then make sure that it has a suitable power connection. Now there are two ways to connect your camera to the Internet. Either using a wired cable or wirelessly through the app. I chose the wireless setting as that seemed hassle-free.

Setup With App

Open the app and click on add camera and wait for the scan to finish. Once the scanning is complete press on your camera from the list of available devices and add it to your internet, it is at this stage of the setup process that the app will ask for the victure camera verification code which is present in the box the device came with, so type in the code. During this process the camera automatically gets the Wi-Fi password through your phone and is connected to the internet. The same process goes for the wired method as well. Do note that the camera only supports certain bands of Wi-Fi so make sure that your router transmits in a wide range of frequencies. This completes the setup. Now that the camera is fully functional the LEDs change colours indicating what the camera is currently doing. So when you first turn on the camera it should display the red colour which would indicate that it is turned on and functional. Camera troubleshooting and maintenance

It is very rare for anything of inconvenience to occur in the camera, but the only thing to note is that the camera needs to have an sd card installed to record the footage and store it. You can also save the footage directly to another server in your home, by referring to the instructions manual. This method is much more feasible. If the camera is dropping out of connectivity then ensure that it is in range with the router and also try rebooting it as it has been functioning for a long time.
