Many of us can relate to our children’s lack of enthusiasm towards homework. Still, we know that by completing our homework and turning it in on time, students improve academically and learn important lessons about discipline, responsibility, and communication. We can reassure them that having homework does not mean they have to forego fun and relaxation. Children can maintain a positive balance by planning after school activities around their homework and keeping to a schedule, Homework utilizes the leisure time of the children, which otherwise would have been wasted. It may establish the habit of working hard and that too regularly.
We know that good assignments, completed successfully, can help children develop wholesome habits and attitudes. Homework can help parents learn about their children's education and communicate both with their children and the schools. And it can encourage a lifelong love of learning. Homework can benefit for young children by helping them improve their memorization skills. Homework can help students to develop study skills that will be of value even after they leave school. It can teach them that learning takes place anywhere, not just in the classroom. Homework can benefit children in more general ways as well.
