There is nothing to worry about menopause when you know how to get hot flash relief. Hot flashes are some of the symptoms that make menopause a nightmare for women. These heat waves emanate from within the body and make the menopausal woman perspire even during winters. What is more worrying as menopausal women don’t know when the heat wave would come? They feel as if they have lost control over their body. It is due to reduction in hormones. The hormones start reducing as soon as a woman enters into menopause but she feels the gravity of the situation when the hormones fall beyond critical point.

Again I am saying that there is nothing to worry as one can get hot flash relief in one’s kitchen. Including Vitamin E in your diet can reduce the intensity of menopausal symptoms and give you lasting relief from heat waves. The good thing is that Vitamin E is found in cucumbers, mangoes, brown rice, safflower oil, sesame oil, almonds and many items found in food stores. Two or three tablespoon full of soy protein twice in a day can also give you relief from heat waves. Green leafy plants are also said to be helpful in reducing the intensity of menopausal symptoms.

Rest and relaxation can bring down the menopausal discomfort and for this reason menopausal women are advised taking rest. Stress and work load would only increase the discomfort associated with menopause. Women should avoid stress and take their work lightly. To further reduce the discomfort, women should dress in layers so that they can put off a layer or two when the heat waves occur. Working women should take care of their dress when experiencing menopause. Putting on heavy dress like embroidered suits won’t give any hot flash relief.

By correcting your diet and lifestyle, you can make sure that you don’t feel much discomfort during menopause. It is not possible to remove the menopausal symptoms but you can certainly control the intensity of the symptoms and make menopause a breeze. If you are considering taking hormone replacement therapy then try some herbs for hot flash relief. Get a Chinese herb from your local health food store and take it as prescribed on the packing. If you don’t get relief within a couple of weeks then you are free to go for HRT. But probably you would get relief with Chinese herbs.
