Huston has become an area where townhomes have become quite popular. The concept of the town home is a lifestyle that is virtually maintenance free, offers abundant space, less expensive than a single family home and has community amenities. For young and old town homes are presenting a wonderful lifestyle. Houston Townhomes are part of the "true" Texan lifestyle and residences are normally two or three-story residences that are in top areas in the city. Townhomes are considered to be more luxurious than apartments and offer a little more privacy and space. A few of the areas with some wonderful townhomes in Houston include: Rice Military: Rice Military is a high end neighborhood with many single-family, patio home and town home properties. The boundaries of Rice Military neighborhood are Westcott Street on the west, Shepherd Drive on the east, Memorial Drive on the south, Washington Avenue on the north. The neighborhood features premier builders of town homes offering some of the finest in Texas. Downtown: Downtown has become one of the hottest spots to live in Houston and has transformed to a cultural area filled with shops, clubs, restaurants and retail stores making a vibrant living lifestyle. There are many wonderful town homes in the Downtown area that Texans where Texans are finding a truly enjoyable life. Garden Oaks: Garden Oaks is a beautiful neighborhood that is located just north of the 610 loop. The area is close to the retail and office / industrial buildings by Shepherd and North Loop 610. The feel of the neighborhood is country charm and has a wonderful appeal to those that like the peaceful feel in a living environment with the vibrant attractions of the city close by. River Oaks: River Oaks is a neighborhood that is filled with beautiful, mature oak trees and a neighborhood ambience that is filled with charm. River Oaks is in direct location to the popular Highland Village shopping center, the private Briar Club and the River Oaks Park and has some wonderful properties. rnTanglewood: Tanglewood is another of the most desired neighborhoods in Houston and has been absolutely brilliantly planned. Beautiful oak trees showcase the neighborhood with many wooded areas with wonderful amenities such as a massive golf course and the Houston Country Club. Museum District: The Museum District is definitely an area that offers a premier living lifestyle and located in the middle of Houston's cultural center place.
