DO you know the basic difference between a2 milk and dairy milk ? There is a difference in the ratios of lactose (carbohydrate component) and fatty acids (fat component) in both kinds of milk. However, it is the protein component in the milk that differentiates the two from each other in terms of quality. A1 milk has A1 type of protein (casein) and A2 milk has A2 type of protein. A2 milk has been designed to be easier to digest and healthier than other cow's milk on the market. Milk is a good source of protein, containing 8 grams (g) per 8-ounce (oz) glass. The two major proteins in milk are casein and whey. Casein accounts for about 80 percent of the protein in milk. Dairy milk contains both A1 and A2 beta-casein, but A2 milk contains only A2 beta-casein. Some studies suggest that A1 beta-casein may be harmful and that A2 beta-casein is a safer choice.A2 milk is produced and marketed by the A2 Milk Company and contains no A1 beta-casein.rnAlso, a2 Milk® is 100% real milk that may be easier on digestion and may help some avoid discomfort because it comes from cows that naturally produce only the A2 protein and no A1. ... While we're not seeking organic certification at this point, our milk is free of growth hormone rBST.
