Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) was first introduced in the 20th century by the United States with the revolution of industrialization. MBA provides a scientific approach to management by specializing its students in Human Resources, Marketing, Finance, Operations and Statistics. There are plenty of Institutes that offer the Master’s degree and Postgraduate diploma in business administration in India. With the increasing number of students applying for the program every year, top college like Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) introduced a Common Admission Test (CAT). CAT is one of the most important and popular entrance exam among prospective management students in India because of its acceptance by the best institutes of the country. CAT is used as an admission test to shortlist applications for the 19 IIMs in India, making it an iconic part of the Indian education system. CAT tests a student on the bases of Quantitative Ability (QA), Verbal Ability (VA) and Reading Comprehension (RC), Data Interpretation (DI), and Logical Reasoning (LR) via a computer based exam. A candidate has to answer 100 questions in the stipulated time period of 3 hours (180 minutes). CAT is a difficult test with a little margin for error. Therefore, there is a lot of pressure on students. Hence, coaching for CAT is helpful. There are plenty of coaching institutes in the country that will teach shortcuts and tricks to solve the problems. They also give a student the chance to appear for Mock Tests conducted for CAT. As a former student, I know how tough it can be to choose an institute, because you barely have to switch if you end up choosing the wrong institute. That’s why I would advise to choose a faculty rather than an institute. One of the best faculties for CAT currently is Ravi Handa. His CAT video tutorials are a major attraction. He also conducts live classes. Live classes allow a student to ask doubts and clarify them in real time. In case you miss attending one, you can view the recording later. The best part is that the courses are online and be accessed at any point of time rather than the conventional coaching institute that assign a particular time for a class. If you are an Indian student appearing for the CAT exam in November, 2017, then I would recommend you to have a look at this: http://www.handakafunda.com/online-cat-coaching/
