People across the country are always trying to find ways to lose weight. A lot of folks are doing everything they are “supposed” to be doing, but still, do not lose weight. This can be very frustrating. It’s hard enough to lose weight, and when you change your eating habits and still see no results, that are even more frustrating. rnWhy do most people find it difficult to lose weight? rnOne of the biggest reasons preventing people from losing there desired weight is the false promises of artificial sweeteners and processed diet foods. That’s right, it is the diet sodas, diet snacks, processed foods and artificial sweetener in your coffee that is keeping you fat. rnHow can this possibly be the answer? rnArtificial sweeteners trick your liver. rnYour liver has the chore of cleaning your digestive system, controlling blood sugar levels and regulates fat storage along with several more important tasks that help maintain a proper balance of life sustaining functions including healthy weight loss. One of your liver’s number one jobs, and the most important to your weight loss, is chemically breaking down everything that enters your body, from healthy vegetables, to not so healthy fast food, from healthy water to not so healthy soda. The job of your liver is to choose between the nutrients you need to absorb for proper health and the dangerous or unnecessary substances that must be filtered out of your bloodstream. However when the liver is overwhelmed with toxins, like artificial sweeteners, it can’t complete the desired task at hand. rnIf your liver can not tell what is good and what is bad for you based on artificial sweetener overload, it can not process the nutrients and fats that your body needs, this will cause you to gain weight or will prevent you from losing weight. Bile is also produced by your liver, a crucial substance intended for detoxifying our bodies. Bile helps our bodies break down the fats we need and to absorb fat-soluble vitamins. But when congested with artificial sweetener toxins our bile simply can’t function appropriately. Our bile gets too thick, viscous and highly inefficient in breaking down fats. rnThe result of using artificial sweeteners: You are probably going to have an increase in weight rather than a loss in weight. You will also have a harder time trying to lose weight. As you can see the more artificial sweeteners you use the more toxins you put in your body, and the more problems you’ll have losing weight and keeping it off since your liver just can not operate correctly to break down fat. rnWhy artificial sweeteners are considered a toxin? rnWhat qualifies something as a “toxin”? rnAnything that your body does not recognize as a natural food source is considered a “toxin”. Your body does not recognize artificial sweeteners and therefore they have “zero: calories because they are an unknown food source. rnA good example is the chemical process to make Splenda (sucralose). Somehow the chemical composition of the sugar Splenda has been converted to a completely different molecule than sugar. This type of “false” sugar molecule does not exist in nature and therefore is not recognized by your body so it is unable to properly metabolize it. This is why Splenda declares that it has zero calories, because in theory it should not be digested or metabolized by the body (Although it has been shown that some people’s body do absorb up to 15% of the artificial sweeteners they ingest). So the more man-made sweeteners that you consume in one day, the more you are overwhelming your liver with toxins and the less able it is to do its job of processing fat. And what happens if the liver can’t do its job? You can’t lose weight or worse yet, you gain weight. Good Luck and Good Health...... Brad L. Ohm
