Companies That Are Using AR & VR Advertising

Netflix

The OTT streaming and entertainment giant, Netflix promoted its first reality show last year with an immersive Virtual Reality ad. The ad was created for its show called “Ultimate Beastmaster” where the streaming giant created a VR environment to take the viewers inside the “beast” which was a superstructure designed to create an illusion that the person is inside of an animal. The advertisement showed obstacles coming like the Spinal Descent and Digestive Tract through a VR experience that makes you feel like you are the actual contestant.

Coca-Cola

The world-famous soft drink manufacturer is known for its innovative ways to promote its brand. The company has a knack for doing something new and that’s what makes it different from its competitors. For so many decades, the company has been a leading name in carbonated drinks and despite a solid brand image, it spends a shedload of money on advertisements and promotions every year.

One cool gimmick the company tried last year was introducing Augmented Reality into its mobile app called Magic. With AR integration, the app allowed users to scan posters from different places so that they can get access to various holiday-themed interactions. For example, when users scanned the Coco-Cola logo in some grocery store or shopping mall, a Santa graphic would appear on the screen with some background music.
