Every woman should have a handle on what is happening to their body at any given time in the day or in the month. Being educated on women’s health signs and symptoms is very important and every woman should learn the information below if they want to protect their bodies and selves from this day forward.
One particular woman’s health topic that women should know more about are ovarian cysts. Automatically, any woman would assume that these cysts are terrible to a woman’s health and pose a lot of risks. Little do they know that most ovarian cysts are benign and they cause little to no harm to the body. However, they come with some pretty severe signs and symptoms and these are what women need to know about.
How can you tell if you have an ovarian cyst? What is the difference between an ovarian cyst and ovarian cancer? Can a cyst develop into cancer? It’s time that you learned the information to all of these questions so you can better protect yourself in the future.
One of the biggest signs that you have an ovarian cyst is if you are in a severe amount of pain for no reason. The pain associated with a cyst on ovary is sometimes sharp, but is often dull and constant. That is because the cyst is putting so much pressure on the body. Think of it as a supped up menstrual cramp.
Another sign of ovarian cysts are an increase in weight gain by at least 5-10 pounds. If, all of a sudden, you feel bloated and larger than normal, it is for a reason. You need to be watchful of this and keep an eye on it. Cysts get larger over time and have the tendency to burst, so if you are gaining weight, you need to find out why.
There are also some really bizarre changes that happen in the body of a woman when she is dealing with an ovarian cyst and one of those changes is an increase in hair growth. Ovarian cysts tend to disrupt the hormone balance in women, so if all of a sudden, you are developing facial hair or hair where it shouldn’t be, that could be a sign that you have an ovarian cyst.
The most common symptom is the pain, so keep an eye on this because your ovarian cyst could grow at a rapid rate and before you know it, you have to deal with a rupture, which could send you into the ER. Being aware of what is happening to your body is the first line of defense. The more educated you are on ovarian cysts, the better and the more apt you will be to protect yourself if it does happen to you.
If you already have a cyst, take comfort in knowing that there are plenty of natural remedies that you can put your faith into that will work to shrink or even destroy the cyst completely, right from the comfort of your home.
