Bacterial vagnosis is a common health condition that women all over the world find themselves dealing with in recurring stages. They think that going to the doctor and getting that treatment is helping them but in the end, it is not doing much. Antibiotics may treat your infection to start, but after time, your body develops a resistance to them. This makes it harder to treat a future infection; as a result, you have to pump your body with even more antibiotics. Is there a better way to get relief?

Of course there is. Now, more than ever before, women are turning their attention to natural forms of treatment. That way, they know what they are putting into their bodies and they know that they are going to get the relief they are after. They also know that they are saving money the entire time. The best part, they don’t even have to leave the home so no one else knows what they are going through. It’s a huge win-win.

You, too, can use natural ways to combat against fishy vaginal odor. You can treat your bacterial vaginosis on your own and in the comfort of your home. It doesn’t take much to get relief from vaginal odor, as long as you start on some of these treatments immediately. All you have to do is go into your pantry to get them.

The first natural way to combat against your odor is to use yogurt. Yogurt is wonderful at balancing the pH of your vagina to give you relief from the acidic spike and the smell. It’s preferred that you use yogurt that is completely natural, as anything with added sugar will only feed into your infection and worsen it. Simply soak a tampon in yogurt and then insert it into your vagina. Allow it to work for about 5 minutes, take it out, rinse the area with warm water and away you go. If you refrigerate the yogurt beforehand, you will get added relief with the cooling sensation.

The second natural way to treat BV on your own and at home, is to use the same method that you did with yogurt, but to substitute it with baking soda instead. Mix baking soda with water and then soak it in a tampon. Insert this tampon into your body and it will work wonders for your infection. Baking soda, like yogurt, is a great pH balancer. The only difference is that with baking soda, it inhibits the growth of bacteria, meaning that your infection won’t get any worse. Now, not only are you treating the bacteria directly, but you are also ensuring that it won’t spread nor get worse. It’s one of the best things that you can do for your body.

Combating against fishy vaginal odor and even making it come to a complete end, is not that hard to do on your own. If you are suffering from it now and you want to make sure it never comes back, try these two treatments now. They will give you the relief that you are after and they will make a huge difference.
