According to the survey, 91% of them said that they used social networking sites in order to screen for prospective employees. If you think that your social media profile doesn’t influence your chances of getting a job, think again: 69% of the respondents have rejected a candidate because of what they say about them on a social networking site. There’s also good news here, because 68% of the recruiters have hired candidates based on what they saw on their profiles. The network that is most used for screening the candidates is Facebook with 76%, followed by Twitter with 53% and LinkedIn with 48%.
47% of the prospective employees are screened right after receiving the application, 27% after an initial conversation and only 4% right before making an offer.
