These deposits clog the arteries, resulting to high blood pressure, which in turn increases the risk of stroke, atherosclerosis, and many heart ailments. Good cholesterol clears the imminent surplus of bad cholesterol away. Cordyceps lowering cholesterol A healthy diet and lifestyle would help in lowering level of bad cholesterol in the bloodstream. Taking Cordyceps has also been found to help in this endeavor. Researchers have discovered that the plant (actually a kind of mushroom) contains general cardiotonic and cholesterol-lowering components. A clinical study conducted in China in 1985 could be cited. The research effort involved 273 patients. After regular intake of Cordyceps for two months, it was found that bad cholesterol levels in patients dropped by 17%, while good cholesterol rose by up to 27%. It was considered as a short time frame for Cordyceps benefits to manifest and help in lowering cholesterol levels in patients. Cordyceps sinensis This type of mushroom was first discovered and used in ancient China. For countless years now, Cordyceps has been identified and used by health practitioners in Chinese and Tibetan traditional or folk medicines. The many other Cordyceps benefits include being an aphrodisiac and a treatment for cancer tumor. It could also relieve weariness and several other types of sickness. Not surprisingly, Cordyceps remain popular in China as an effective option for lowering cholesterol especially the bad type.
