Data is fact, number, or text processed by a computer and a conglomeration of such information is known as database. Fundamentally database management is a systematic organisation of a data. An up to date database plays a vital role in the recruitment process. Recruitment companies organise data with relevance to the aspects of reality, such as the skills, competencies and qualification of the candidate. These all information supports the company to find the suitable candidate as and when required. Every organisation keeps record of CVs archived in their database. There is ample number of CVs stored in the database of the recruitment companies. Sometime there are more than one CVs stored for the same worker, and there may be a CV with the outdated contact details. Obviously there is duplication and out date information available in the database.
The term database management implies, that the information is managed to meet the level of quality in terms of accuracy, availability, resilience, and usability.
