Finance Sector Deepening Trust (FSDT) is aiming at developing the existing financial market system to enhance its capability to benefit the underserved rural area individuals and enterprises too. FSDT initiates several activities and strategies to provide more opportunities to the rural sector by strengthening their avenues for an improved life. FSDT’s goals include addressing the specific financial challenges of rural sector and supporting new innovations and deep market interventions through solid partnerships with government, NGO, and private sector stakeholders. The unrelenting efforts of FSDT in terms of strengthening the rural sector have already started reaping the welcoming results. Rural population of Africa now has better accessibility to more financial products, which are custom designed for their needs. FSDT objectivesrnFSDT aims to effectively facilitate better and wider financial services at the regions where majority of the rural Tanzanian populations are located and employed. At the first point, FSDT’s efforts are directed towards properly identifying the barriers to rural agriculture finance transactions and to work in close association with its partners to implement successful interventions to unlock easy access, trust, usage, and quality of the financial services to ensure public welfare. Agricultural financernAs majority of the rural population of Tanzania depends largely on agriculture and farming to make a living, FSDT initiates financial transactions for agriculture sector to ensure improved productivity and reduced loss. There are various theme interventions, which are designated to deepen financial contribution for agricultural sectordevelopment and farmer welfare.
