How does success happen?
I heard a fabulous quote from Dale Beaumont (author of the Secrets Exposed book series) today…… “Success does not happen in a day, it happens day-by-day.”
How true this is. It is the habits and the patterns that we continue with, that make us successful! Take for example housecleaning. You can clean your house fantastically one weekend, spending all weekend on it, and it looks amazing. However, if that is the only time you spend cleaning your house, it will soon deteriorate and be back where it was before you started. You would say “it was a waste of time cleaning the house! Look! Nothing improved!” But take the example where you cleaned for an hour a day, day after day. The house would get cleaner and cleaner, easier and easier.
How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time!
Aim for consistent effort, aim for improving what you do consistently. Write a book, by setting aside time REGULARLY. Improve your garden, by setting aside time REGULARLY. Learn a new language, by setting aside time REGULARLY. There will be times when we don’t do it for some reason, but keep your eyes focused on the goal.
Two steps forward, one step back? Eventually, by continually and regularly stepping forward two steps, you will get to where you want to be!
