How God wants to Be Our Anchor In Times of Hardship

Times of hardship in our life brings so many things to light that we may have never be aware of were even there. Hardship reveals things within our heart, such as impatience, doubt, frustration and deep need. Regardless of the individual circumstances that each of face, the Lord's purposes are singular. It is to draw us into Himself and to reveal His deep love and unending provision. Times of struggle get our attention for the press deeply into our heart, mind and spirit. The Lord's desire is to get our attention and both our eyes directly on Him. When this happens, we are looking to God to be our provision, our all in each and every circumstances. Also, when our eyes are set in His direction, we will see what He gives us and our hearts will be encouraged to believe and ask for more and more from Him alone. Even though circumstances, people and things will come and go in our lives, God is the one immovable anchors that will never forsake or abandon us. There is nothing that we can do that will cause God to leave us. His love is never fails us and He desires us to rise up to His challenge to trust Him. He wants us to surrender, lay down before Him, believing that He will make a way and in the midst that He will comfort and carry us through. When we doubt this fact or become shaky in our faith, the Lord calls us to remind ourselves about His faithfulness. His word is plied full of examples of His faithfulness to His people, from Abraham, Moses, David, Peter and on an on. We see that God's character never fails and He will not fail us. If we cease from trying to make our own way and lean everything we have on Him, He will show us that He is indeed for us. The Lord is a gentleman and He beckons us to Him, but it is only us that can give our hearts and needs to Him. The Lord is our compass and only He knows our way. So we need to recognize that there is no one or nothing that can reveal that to us, except for the Lord. He has wonderful things in store for us and only following in His path is the way to receiving it all.
