My life has had so many twists and turns some good and some bad but I am now at an age that I need to look at every aspect to see what is good for me and what I can change if it isn't helping me. I have found that my mind is very cluttered with things that are not really needed. I am a worrier and worry about some of the strangest things. So I decided to stop in my tracks and get everything reduced in my head before it becomes a health issue.
I started with a self-de-clutter program in my home. I found I had kept so many things from years ago and had to ask myself why? Do I really need every single rent book going back to 1971 and you can guess what I answered can't you? A big fat NO you do not! So I went through the house systematically and what I didn't need went in the bin. My anxiety levels went up but I knew I had to do it. I did the same with my wardrobe because if I am never going to wear something why am I keeping it.
That said and done I had to look at my friends list. I have some very close friends that I hold dear to me and I also have friends that I have known for many, many years. These are keepers. I have a different list of people that have come into my life and left again with or without hurting me and these are the ones I cut loose. I don't need them in my life. I spend too much time worrying about other people and their problems. We all have problems but no one worries about mine because I don't share them. I hold it all in and have managed quite well over the years to deal with any dramas that come my way so it suits me just fine.
Once the house and my mind were a bit clearer I found that the back and neck pai
I have suffered with for a long time did seem to ease quite a bit so I know that stress and tension were the main culprit. So moving on to something else I worry about recycling. I do as much as I have been able to with all these new bins. I do separate the glass and paper but I wanted to find a way of easier disposal of the food waste.
I found by having a bin for it in the kitchen quite often my kitchen spelt of rotting leftovers so I did a bit of research and found a waste disposal unit in the UK that offered just what I wanted. The Waste King Legend disposal unit is great. I put the food waste in my sink, turn the tap and unit on. It is then ground up and goes out through the drain pipe. No more smell in the kitchen plus no more dragging heavy smelly black sacks out to the bin by the street.
All these things have helped me to be more balanced and resolve a lot of the conflict in my life. I am enjoying being a more environmentally conscious person and feel better for it.
