How I Lost 20 Pounds in 2 Months
When my girlfriends and I turned 25, we thought it was the end of the line weight-wise. According to our smartest friend, there was just no beating a metabolism that was slowing down. To figure out this is a myth, you have to look no further tha
Kate Hudson's abs.
I'm 28 years old and I'm currently in the best shape of my life. My body should hypothetically be getting fat and making its slow march towards the grave. Instead, I've lost 20 pounds in two months. If you're also trying to defy biology, here's how I did it.
Diet, diet dietr
I used to think I could eat a #10 (NUGGS) from McDonald's and run the calories off later. Nowadays, I realize that I can't run off a garbage diet. I eat the same things every day because I know that it gives me the proper nutrition and helps me cut weight. I try to limit splurges (again, I love Chicken McNuggets) 1-2 times a week.
Cut Out Boozer
Booze is the number one killer of diets IMO. If you're hanging out in a bar all day watching football, this is for you. And no matter what the articles online say, light beers and vodka don't serve as a way to cheat the system. Sure, they're low cal/carb, but they still lower inhibitions. That means, at some point, you will go home and order the greasy pizza you tried so hard to avoid all day. Limit social drinking to 1-2 times a month.
Join ClassPass
I'm not the first person that saw massive change joining ClassPass. Two people I know dropped 20+ pounds using the service. I ran per usual. Then, once a week I'd "shock" my body with a fun, new fitness studio. The variance and challenge have really changed every inch of my body. HIIT studios are the best options.
Cheat Once a Dayr
For your damn sanity. This doesn't mean have a burrito bowl at 10 pm. Just something small. I have a cookie every night. It's just enough, and it's a nice treat at the end of the day when I've behaved. Pavlov's dog, anyone?
What diet tips do you have? I'd love to hear 'em.

Moving Meditation: How Precision-Based Exercise Supports Mental and Emotional Growth
Movement is one of the most honest forms of self-connection. The body never lies. It holds stress, records emotion, and reveals when something feels off. For many, this is why exercise has always been more than fitness; itâs therapy through motion. But not all movement heals. Some styles exhaust, others distract.
