Aging is a process that will catch every human, sooner or later. There are many signs of aging that start affecting our aesthetic appeal. Among many of these signs, our lower eyelids start getting wrinkles. The signs of aging become more visible on the lower eyelids than the upper eyelids. Modern surgical procedures can help eliminate these wrinkles through lower eyelid surgery. A successful surgery would mean considerable eyelift before and after difference in appearance.

The first step in getting a lower eyelid surgery is to see if your lower eyelid can be operated for this procedure or not. If your lower eyelid is too loose, then it is better not perform the procedure on it. Cosmetic surgery performed on a loose eyelid will further drop it down. A loose eyelid will expose your eye to dirt, germs and dryness. Go to your surgeon and ask him if it is safe to perform this surgery on your lower eyelid or not. The surgeon will check the lower eyelid to ensure that it is tight enough for a surgery or not. If your surgeon ensures that your lower eyelid will withstand a surgery, then you should get it operated, otherwise not.

The difference of eyelift before and after the surgery depends on the type of procedure adopted. Different patients need different kinds of procedures. It depends on a lot of factors like patient’s age, type of surgery required, and extent of fat deposited under the eye etc. The procedure that is adopted to do the surgery will also affect the recovery time of the patient. Your doctor will tell you about the recovery time required. You also need to ask your doctor whether you will be able to do go with your normal routine tasks or not, during the recovery phase.

The most usual procedure adopted is done on a limited scale. People with wrinkles and fat deposits under the eyes go for this procedure. This limited operation is a lot safer. There isn’t any incision or dissection required for this particular type of procedure. A small portion of the skin is pinched up by the surgeon to trim the fat beneath without affecting the blood supply. The patient is given local anesthesia for undergoing this kind of procedure. An expert surgeon reduces the amount of fat under the eye. After recovery, you will feel a considerable difference in the number of wrinkles. And you will not need to worry about the lower eyelid wrinkles anymore.
