In order to lose weight both calorie consumption and increased physical exercise have to be combined. Increase your physical activity and reduce your calories intake and you are on a good track to see some great results.
The minimal number of calories for our body, and here we mean the functioning of our organs is 1200 calories on average, and the daily consumption of calories shouldn't be below this number. If necessary, this number can be lower but just with your doctor's approval. For a weight loss the ideal number of calories we have to eliminate is 500. Why not 600 or 400 you may ask? Well, the answer is quite simple, there are 500 calories in 1 pound of fat. Of course, we can't expect to cut out 500 calories and expect to see the results the next day. Being consistent is the key to success here.
To lose weight you can choose any of the diet plans available or simply start counting calories. How many calories do you need will vary depending on your age, sex, current weight, body shape, lifestyle and of course how physically active you are. However, the calculation is simple here - eat less and burn more.
Counting Calories Can Help You Lose Weight
Perhaps the best way to find out how much calories you need to lose weight is by counting calories. The numbers are often different and vary from 2000 calories for women to 2500 calories per day for men.
Now when you have decided to start counting calories you have to build a habit to check the calorie chart on the food products you buy. By doing this you will be able to successfully decide whether you are going to buy a particular food product or not. Remember that the amounts of fat are related to the number of calories. So to successfully cut own the number of calories you take, take care of the intake of fats and sugars. Fresh fruits and vegetables are a life savers here. Keep in mind to take things slowly and gradually. Every attempt to achieve instant weight loss results can either fail or cause some health complications.
Some people also calculate their BMR and BMI, but knowing these numbers won't help you much if you don't take care of the calorie consumption. After all, a healthy and balanced diet combined with moderate physical activity will definitely help you see some great results in the following months
