How Snoring Can Cause Accidents At Work?

Due to hindered air movement while sleeping vibration of respiratory structure and sound is termed as snoring. Snoring is a very common phenomenon in human beings. Snoring is more common in men than women. About 40 percent of men’s population have snoring problem on the other hand about 20 percent of women’s population have this issue. Snoring tends to increase with age. As age increases human tissues relaxes and due to relaxation of throat tissues breathing is disrupted and snoring occurred. Occasional snoring is not risky for health it only disturbs sleeping partner. However habitual snoring is not only irritating for sleeping partner but also dangerous for human beings health. Overweight is another main cause of snoring. Overweight people put extra fat in their throat which results obstructed breathing which is the main cause of snoring. Sleeping on your back also increases the snoring problem. Usage of alcohol, medication and smoking also increases chances of snoring. During smoking throat and tongue tissues tend to relax and breathing becomes disrupted. In allergy season snoring tends to increase. Light snoring is not an issue for the human being but heavy and long term snoring results into sleep apnea. In sleep apnea, breathing tends to stop for few seconds. It causes a serious risk factor for heart disease, diabetes, strokes and many other health issues. The primary symptom of snoring is loud and harsh sound that you make during sleep. Another symptom is sore throat or dry mouth when you wake up. If you have pause in breathing, difficulty in concentrating, morning headaches, choking or gasping while sleeping, depression, moodiness and frequent need to urinate during night then you have major symptoms of snoring or sleep apnea. At work, sleepiness makes you less effective and unsafe. Due to sleepiness, your mind becomes less alert, it becomes slower and starts to make errors. People tend to misjudge their mind abilities and their decision could become harmful for them. People with more sleep are more favorite for accidents during work than people with less sleep. People with excessive sleeping who also snore are likely to be involved in workplace accident. Due to snoring and especially sleep apnea sleeping schedule of people become disturbed. Lack of sleep is also very dangerous during work. Due to lack of sleep your mind becomes less alert and misjudgment during work causes severe accidents. Snorers are more likely to fall asleep behind wheel which is major cause of accidents nowadays. Different researchers suggest that people who snore more and have sleep apnea issue have less quality sleep time. Snorers who have sleep time of six hours or less are most suited candidates for accidents. People having habitual snoring problem are most likely to have high blood pressure. High blood pressure is really harmful to people during their daily routine work. High blood pressure disturbs human mind and mind start taking wrong decisions and may lead to accident during work.
