Ask any Commercial printing company how to do commercial printing and they will just probably tell you to create your design on a program and send it to them so they can print it. That answer is succinct and direct to the point but should you need a little more push here are a few more steps to go through:

1) Have your finances available. Identify or estimate your costs and have a general budget.
Your actual printing expense will showed to you until you ask a printer but it will always be best to be ready and have a general idea so you know whether you have a good deal or you need to start haggling for your package a little more. Research to get you that general cost.

2) Have an estimate of all your printing requirements with your target consumers in mindr
It is always best to think about the people – the people who will be using the prints that’s who. You don’t have to personalize right down to their names, you just have to think about their general preference, how they can use it. make sure you use it on your design.

3) Start drafting the words for your printsr
The earlier you start creating your text the better for you and the fewer mistakes you can incur. So start drafting your text with careful consideration on what print type will be housing your text (brochure? Book? Booklet? Pamphlet?). have them already so you can also adjust and let your printer know just how much your text is. Make sure to remember that single paged prints should never be text heavy or else it will look too cramped and readers just might not read it well or read it at all.

4) When creating your design, these are the few little things you may want to think about a little longer:

• Fontsr
All fonts are used for reading so therefore your prints should be readable and pleasing to the eyes. Use the right size as well that would be too small nor too large that will cut words in its lines because it doesn’t fit.

• Colorsr
Colors spice up (or simmer down) the mood. What colors you choose will not only reflect your company, it will also affect your readers moods so make sure you pick out the right colors for your intended target.

• Picturesr
Don’t overdo and cramp so much pictures. Make sure all pictures show what your art is all about just by looking at it. get a professional photographer if yours doesn’t work with the design.

5) Saving your Designr
Always remember to save your design according the specifications your chosen printer requires. They normally give you a list of file types they allow or a checklist to follow as you create the design so if they do not give you any – ask!

6) Pre-printing check upr
It is always good to check everything before you submit your art file. You don’t submit your exam or your essay to your professor without reading it again right? Do the same thing here and double check everything. The common errors people make are misspelled words, grammatical errors, punctuation marks or even just typographical errors. Checking on your file before submitting will give your printer less time to check and more time to print and may even finish before the date discussed. Printers normally send you a proof after receiving your file and before the printing for you to see your prints before it is actually printed.

The chosen commercial printing company, once granted the exclusive printing rights with you will probably assist you anyway they could. The best ones will even help you draw up your design to be sure you are making the right file for that commercial printing requirement.
