Surely you know about the term "Alpha Male." We often associate this phrase with animal species -- and the most dominant gorilla or lion that reigns over the others and is given access to the most desirable females.
Some guys have a negative opinion of what it means to be an Alpha Male. To them it could mean the big jock who used to rule their high school, bullying the weaker kids and snatching all the sexy chicks. Or maybe you work with an Alpha Male: a "man's man" who demonstrates absolute masculine confidence, and always gets what he's after. Maybe he's difficult to work for, but you gotta respect the dude.
Whatever you envision when you think of Alpha Males, the reality is that most guys believe that you're either a natural Alpha Male, or else you're doomed to forever be an insecure "Nice Guy" who doesn't turn women on. But the reality, in fact, is that we all have an Alpha Male inside of us. So right now I want to give you a few quick tips on how to become an Alpha Male, which come from my own personal experiences.
How To Be An Alpha Male, Tip #1: Displaying your Alpha Male side means displaying confidence and charm with men AND women. You must always build your social network! You need to understand just how essential this really is. Look, I've seen lots of guys who study "pickup" because they want to master the art of
how to be an Alpha Male. Although some of these guys become more skilled and confident when they're around women, they still act like "Beta" guys when they're around other men -- in particular Alpha Males whom they perceive to have higher status than they do.
Clearly when you go out to socialize, your primary aim is to meet girls, but establishing new alliances with "Alpha" guys is going to benefit your long-term game. So when you're out at the nightclubs or bars, or at any type of social event -- and you observe dudes who have cool, positive energy and are obviously having fun (and getting attention from women) -- introduce yourself to them. Just start a friendly conversation with a dude who's been getting attention from the ladies -- say to him, "Hey bro, it looks like you're doing pretty well with the ladies tonight. Nice job." chanceThere's a high probability that he will shake your hand, want to know you, and now you've got this guy as a friend and wingman.
The benefits are awesome when you develop your social network to contain Alpha Male friends -- who will invite you to cool events and activities, and introduce you to other people (especially women) who you wouldn't meet otherwise. And when you're with Alpha Males, your "status" rises in the eyes of girls. Your social value is perceived to be higher.
I'm not telling you to abandon your friends and "trade up" for cooler ones. Look, the reality is that when you ONLY hang out with guys who are don't have confidence around women, you're not receiving any motivation or inspiration from them. It's important for you to socialize with guys who have stronger confidence and game than you do.
How To Be An Alpha Male, Tip #2: My second quick tip on how to become an Alpha Male is that you need to be decisive. Don't be wishy-washy. Women respect men who lay out a path for them to follow. It may sound chauvinistic, but it's true. She really doesn't want to have to decide which where to go eat dinner, or where to grab drinks with you on Friday night...you're actually making her slightly uncomfortable when you exhibit indecisive behavior. Women need to feel that their man is emotionally strong and able to provide security and protection.
When decisions need to be made, YOU need to step up and express how you think it should go. Really, even if it's as small as figuring out where to go eat or have coffee. She might not always agree, but she will respect the fact that you have a definite opinion.
Wussy Move: "So, maybe if you're not busy this weekend, we could, I dunno, hang out..."
Alpha Male move: "Tell me your favorite romantic comedy, and I'll rent it -- we'll watch it Friday night at my place while we eat some great take-out food." Or you might say "You told me that you like Thai food. I happen to know this fantastic restaurant that most people don't know about, and I can show it to you. I can meet up with you Saturday night at seven o'clock."
How To Become An Alpha Male, Tip #3: Leave them wanting more. True Alpha Males are busy people on the move. They do not grant large amounts of their time to anyone who wants to talk to them. Your outlook should be the same with females. Basically, you want to play it so that you are the one wrapping up the chat first, whether it's a first encounter at a club, or a phone call to make plans with her.
See, the ordinary guy will talk... and talk... until the woman finally says, "I have to go find my friend" or "it was cool chatting with you, but I need to be up early tomorrow..." Being an Alpha, you must ALWAYS have a goal in mind when you converse with a woman, and achieve that goal before the chat comes to an end. If you're rapping with a girl you met at a party, your goal could be to score her phone number. Or, if you're calling her on the phone, the aim could be to establish when you're going to meet up with her again. The bottom line is, you've got to have a plan, a strategy, and a tactic to pull it off.
Don't ever prolong the interaction to the point where she has to go and "find her friends" or whatever. This implies to a woman that you are eager to monopolize her time and try to win her over. On the other hand, when you are the one to end the interaction, she will figure that you're a man on the move with other options.
